Hi! It’s me, Ty!
App-ucation Month is one of my favorite times of the year (on my blog) because I get to share all of my favorite learning apps, make lots of videos, introduce you to awesome new people and give stuff away all to raise money for an iPad and Down syndrome cognition research.
While we wait for medical advances in cognition research for people with Down syndrome, there is technology out there that continues to increase a child’s ability to learn.
The month of February is dedicated to those technologies on Ty’s Adventures.

Between 1st and 2nd grade, the reading teacher at my school gave us a set of Bob’s Books to use over the summer. Mom & I had never heard of them before, but were excited to give ‘em a try, especially since the reading teacher said they were they best thing since sliced bread. (Um, you’re not supposed to eat a book, but you can eat the bread, in case you were confused about that comment…yeah I was for a little bit, too. It’s ok.)
Shortly after we got the set of books, we won an iPod Touch & found Bob’s Books apps & a whole slew of awesome apps made by Learning Touch. The books are fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but the apps are in a whole different category, guys. They’re super-interactive books that I really can’t say enough great things about. They are THE go-to reading app in my house.

Since then, Learning Touch has created First Words Deluxe in 5 different languages, added shapes, animals, vehicles, at home, etc…This year I’m posting the 2 videos of these amazing apps & Learning Touch is giving me
